Tindley Temple Re-Defined

"Redefined" for us means undergoing a transformation in focus & our purpose. Through discernment, our Leadership Team has reevaluated and updated our vision and core values to better align with contemporary needs while maintaining our legacy. We have reimagined traditional practices to better engage with the community and address relevant issues.

Together, with the Holy Spirit, we are making deliberate efforts to evolve in order for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to remain relevant and effective in fulfilling salvation and discipleship.

Our vision is to inspire, connect, & equip people with God, and with our local community. We aim to provide a holistic experience where individuals leave inspired by the Holy Spirit, deeply connected to God, and equipped for their journey of faith.

WHO WE ARE

Meet the Executive Team

Pastor John is a dedicated leader with a strong focus on community, family, and youth development. He is actively involved in various organizations such as Philadelphia's Commission on African-American Males & the Health Equity Advisory Committee for the Philadelphia Department of Public Health. John holds degrees from Morehouse College, Palmer Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate at Drew University.

First Lady Ebony, a native of Philadelphia, is deeply engaged in civic and humanitarian efforts. She excelled academically at Shippensburg University, earning an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice, and later obtained a Masters in Counseling from Rosemont College. Currently, Ebony works as an applied behavioral analysis specialist with the Philadelphia School District. Additionally, she co-owns Events By Center Stage, a top-rated event planning and design company recognized for its innovative designs and impeccable execution. Ebony's passion for serving God and people shines through her various endeavors. Together, they are happily married and have a son named Carson and a pet Goldendoodle named King.
